Challenging Academics and College Credit

The Advanced Placement Scholars Program is designed for students who want a challenging academic program with the possibility of earning college credit. 

Students are eligible for the AP Scholars program by taking AP Human Geography their 9th grade year and also taking the PSAT their 9th grade year. 

  • To attain the AP Scholars distinction, students must take a total of nine AP courses. 
  • Three of the nine AP courses must be AP Human Geography, AP Seminar, and AP Research.
  • Students may also be eligible to earn recognition through the College Board.
