Jobs for America's Graduates

Whether students go directly into the workforce or go to post-secondary institutions for education and training, JAGTN gives them the skills needed to be mature, long-term employees who are ready and willing to enter the workplace. JAGTN leverages opportunities to rethink high school to best support pathways for students with data-driven, proven results. 

JAGTN I – Jobs For America’s Graduates – Tennessee Course I

This is a course associated with the program Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG Tennessee). Students will set attainable goals for education and employment and explore career pathways best suited to those goals. Teachers will work with students to learn and discover their strengths, abilities, and opportunities available to them in different career and educational areas. Students will also explore skills to excel in the workforce and in postsecondary learning. This course is the first in a series of courses that build upon the Career Awareness, Career Exploration, and Career Advising and Planning middle school CTE courses.

JAGTN II – Jobs For America’s Graduates – Tennessee Course II

This is a course associated with the program Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG Tennessee). Students will explore interpersonal and intrapersonal skills in order to learn about effective workers and students and how they are successful. Teachers will work with students to develop an individualized student plan to learn and plan for their strengths and abilities, and to create a plan for how to be successful in school and in life.

JAGTN III – Jobs For America’s Graduates – Tennessee Course III

This is a course associated with the program Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG Tennessee). Students will research high-performing companies and historical figures to determine and report on responsibility for oneself and problem-solving skills. Students will participate in teams in which they can demonstrate effective membership and leadership. Students will conduct job analyses to determine the best practices for obtaining a job and will create a plan to achieve their future careers.

JAGTN IV – Jobs For America’s Graduates – Tennessee Course IV

This is a course associated with the program Jobs for America’s Graduates Tennessee (JAG Tennessee). Students will set attainable goals for education and employment and explore career pathways best suited to those goals. Teachers will work with students to create an individualized student plan which will be evaluated for a minimum of 12 months after graduation to ensure student success beyond high school. Students will leave this course with a Personalized Learning Plan, a professional portfolio, and experiential, hands-on learning.
